The Centre Council is pleased to invite members (and non-members) to this informative event and it’s Annual General Meeting.
The East Anglian Centre has brought together speakers from Viridor, Cambridge City Council, CIWM and Battery Recycling-UK to present on WEEE handling, glass noise monitoring, technical services at the Institution and community battery recycling.
There will be the opportunity to see WEEE being handled on site at Peterborough MRF. As part of Viridor’s Thunderbirds Project a modified pedestrian controlled fork lift clamp is used to lift WEEE into a hook-lift vehicle.
There is also demonstration of glass pick-up using a REL.
After the inclusive lunch delegates will have the opportunity to tour the MRF. Delegates wishing to take up this offer are reminded to bring their own PPE (shoes/boots, high vis and hard hat).
